This full-featured product line enables performance at the top of its class on home and business applications.
The day-to-day computing needs of home and business users have evolved from basic e-mail, Web browsing and word processing to downloading music, photo editing, movie viewing, Web conferencing, and advanced office productivity. AMD is delivering the AMD Sempron processor family to meet the evolving everyday computing needs of notebook and desktop computer users.

NOW AVAILABLE: AMD ATHLONTM 64 PROCESSOR 3700+ FOR DESKTOP REPLACEMENT NOTEBOOKS
AMD introduces the latest processor that further expands AMD's best-in-class mobile offerings: AMD Athlon 64 processor 3700+ for desktop replacement notebooks.
AMD Athlon 64 processor-based notebooks offer outstanding computing power, extended system battery life enabled by AMD PowerNow!TM technology, and wireless compatibility with many of today’s most popular wireless solutions. In addition to these features, AMD also offers our exciting new feature--Enhanced Virus Protection. Enhanced Virus Protection for the Windows® XP SP2 is designed to prevent the spread of certain viruses, specifically memory buffer overrun attacks, like MSBlaster and Slammer, significantly reducing your cost and down-time associated with such viruses*.
*Enhanced Virus Protection will by default only protect the user's Windows operating system. Users must, at installation of Microsoft® Windows® XP Service Pack 2 or when they first purchase their systems, enable the protection of their applications and associated files from certain memory buffer overrun attacks. AMD and Microsoft strongly recommend that users use third-party anti-virus software as part of their security strategy.
