Trouble Shootting

The basic pc is setup in sections :

Hardware Hardware

Bios BIOS and BIOS and 64bit

Operating System Computer Operating Systems

Applications.

The hardware job is to provide the support for bios and the operating system.(os) The start of the so call boot process is when the computer is power on. The powersupply converts Ac Volts to Dc. Then the power good is sent to the motherboard. The CPU powers up and memory is checked , the bios rom sends a copy of itself to memory. The CPU internal coding tells it to check with bios. The Cpu checks with bios and is told to create the IRVT.This set's up the order of how the hardware will talk to each other. See Bios BIOS and BIOS and 64bit. After the chip sets have check  out by reading each one into memory and found to be okay, then bios inst 19 is sent to look for a Os. If an Os is found the load of the Operation System is started. The system files are loaded into memory. The memory managers work with memory and the CPU carry out this job. Once the required files are loaded , theCpu is sent a message to switch to 32bit or 64 bit mode. The VMM.exe is called and the virual drivers are loaded in memory. The applications are now ready to be used. If the Desktop which is known as the GUI is not up, and will not come up in normal mode. The OS may come up in safe mode, if not the repair mode may be needed, depending on which operating system is on the computer, you may run check disk or scandisk to fix system files. The repair may ask for a copy of the Operating system to replace the bad files that is causing the system to fail. Safe mode allows you to remove drivers or an application that is causing the problem. Then the system needs to be restarted.
